Summary:
God has given Janene and her family eyes to see and hands to help in the care of His struggling servants, throughout Asia, in much the same way the the Ethiopian was burdened for welfare of the prophet, Jeremiah. We in the United States send our pastor's on vacation, to edifying conferences, provide for their families care, medical needs and retirement plans, which well we should. How many people in full time Christian work would or could remain if even one of these elements was missing? In much of Asia the pastors and other full-time Christian workers serve the Lord in abject poverty. Though they have wings like an eagle to soar in their zeal for the Lord, they have feet of clay that are fragile, made of the same flesh and blood we are, vulnerable to stress, discouragement, marital difficulties, and health problems. As a former pastor in his native Philippines, Rommel knows well how lack of support can handicap. Eagles rest rebuilds broken people and dreams. They are a cup of fresh water to weary parched soul. Christian workers leave renewed and whole to the field God has called them to. Listen through the entire interview to not miss the beautiful harmonious voices for Janene's three daughters as they sing “God of Miracles”. You will be as blessed as are the visitors that come to Eagle's Rest.
